Yes, it is wild -

there are several related garlic species, of which this is the commonest. The young leaves are delicious in salads or in a cheese butty.

You should always be sure -

of the species before consuming!
In this case, errors are unlikely because of the distinctive odour. But if it doesn't look and smell exactly right, don't eat it.
I should also point out that it is a low-growing plant, and for all sorts of unsavoury reasons should be rinsed well before use!
