In the UK, there is nothing that could realistically be confused with this species
Thanks Stuart. When I did a brief search online I found the following rather lovely photo of what must be quite a UK rarity:

A. vaga is not really a British insect. a couple of strays is all we can lay claim to.
Is the Flickr pic of a British insect.... and if it is....is it, without doubt, A. vaga?
On checking again I don't think the Flikr photo of A.vaga is a UK specimen. One of the key words is Netherlands. The photographer seems to be a competant naturalist but I doubt you could do a positive ID from just this photo.
