Description:

Cut birch logs attacked by fungus on exposed ends

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

    Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain.

Cut Birch Logs

These logs look more like Scots Pine. Look at the orange bark on the top log. If they are Scots Pine the purple colour on the right log points to Trichaptum abietinum.
