A couple of unknowns

Found both of these (in profusion!) on magnesian limestone grassland, near Leeds, does anyone recognise them?
The dicot has what I'm hoping is a characteristic leaf shape - not so characteristic that I can identify it though - and the sedge is only 4-5cm long. Thanks in advance for your help.

Your dicot leaf resembles

Your dicot leaf resembles Chenopodium rubrum (tentatively); the sedge really needs a lot more detail. Perhaps check the first in late summer and the latter in about June...
