Following from my ID, I

Following from my ID, I notice that there are no ants at all (!) mapped for this hectad on NBNG. It would be very helpful if you could collect 5 workers and pass them to a specialist for formal identification. I would be happy to take them - contact me on records@hbrg.org.uk if you want details.

It is astonishing how these conspicuous mounds are so often not in the national datasets, but it is important that we know where the colonies are, as they are vulnerable to unsympathetic forest management and habitat fragmentation.

I will collect some workers

I will collect some workers for identification. It will not be within the next day or so but certainly in the near future.
Thanks for the advice.
