Butterflies feature on Saving Species

The new series of Saving Species on BBC Radio 4 is broadcast from next Tuesday, and again features Matthew Oates from the National Trust. In the first programme Matthew will be talking about Duke of Burgundy, a fast-declining species that is of great conservation concern at present.

Only three Duke of Burgundies have been observed on iSpot so far, reflecting the fact that few of us are fortunate enough to see this small but attractive butterfly:
