Catkins on twig found in mixed woodland
No interactions present.
Looks right for birch (Betula sp.), including the twigs themselves.Not sure which species though. There are 2 native ones and they do hybridize.
definetly birch or hazel. you can tell by the buds....but i've completly forgotten them, i did winter buds on my course last year too :O
