This dates back to before iSpot was publicly launched! But thanks for taking the time to go back to these early observations.

I wouldn't say it looks especially pink, e.g. compared to http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/286463

You're right. It is sometimes quite pink then.
I was only a'wonderin' why no-one else had agreed in all these years.
