fantastic growth pattern! very similar to one i have seen in my local woods.

With a white rim and a dark brown centre plus growing on an oak log it is most likely the bracket fungus Stereum gausapatum. Stereum hirsutum tends to be orangish and downy on top hence hirsutum.
