Description:

found this amongst some old plant pots whilst clearing out a shed.
they are small conical structures attached to each other at the base. they are made from paper thin layers of mud. The remnants of some sort of insect larvae could be found insid e some of them. they are less than a centimeter in leght. I thought they might be a solitary bee or wasps nest?
