Description:

Crusty grey lichen on trunk, quite hard.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

A nasty mixture

Perhaps the predominant species is P. adscendens, but I think P. tenella is there as well. There is also something with soredia along the lobe margins - I think it is very dried up Phaeophyscia orbicularis (usually darker in colour, but not always).
