The very similar Lesser

The very similar Lesser Swallow Prominent has a broader, shorter, pure white wedge mark in the trailing corner of the forewing. In the Swallow Prominent this mark is thinner and greyer and extends to about halfway along the trailing edge of the wing as in the example in the picture.
