Description:

We think that this is a moth caterpillar. We found it when we were searching for worms by pouring soapy water onto a grassy patch in a school playground. We think it came up from under the ground.

Moth

It does seem to be a moth caterpillar, probably one of the noctuidae. If alive it could be interesting to try to rear it on. Provide it with a variety of different leaves from the area you found it and see what it eats (most things seem to take dandelion).
