Description:

Not sure about the species. Thought it might be Hygrocybe ceracea (Butter waxcap). It was growing in mown grass. The cap was very slimy and the stem was hollow.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

There are a few yellow

There are a few yellow waxcaps, so I wouldn't like to say it's definitely Butter Waxcap.
