Description:

there were several of these at different stages of development and decay. They were growing mainly beneath coniferous species including Yew (Taxus).

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I wonder if there are two

I wonder if there are two different species here. The shaggy one may well be the shaggy parasol.

You could be right.....................

You could be right miked. Some did seem quite different from each other. But differing ages of fungi can seem like different species. It's one of the confusing issues with fungi identification I find.
