Hybrids

Not exactly. Hybrid usually means a cross between two species. These are both mallards but they will have some genetic material in from domestic 'sub-species' of mallard.

Speaking loosely you could talk about a hybrid between different sub-species if you wanted.

"manky", "heinz" or "hybrid" mallard, you'll find some good web pages with lots of examples of the promiscuity of these ducks.
