Luzula spp.

The genus Luzula are not in fact grasses at all, being much more closely realted to Juncus (rushes). There is a foolproof way of indentifying the genus at least. The edges of the leaves have white wispy hairs, not found in any other common genus. Getting down to species, particularly L. campestris versus L. multiflora is not so easy!
