Spotted on an old leaf at the side of a pond.
No interactions present.
On second thoughts, it does look far more like Water Ladybird!
I suppose the location (next to a pond) was a good clue, but it wasn't listed in any of my trusty books!
Definitely Water ladybird - they're this yellowish shade during the winter, and become pink for the summer. 22-spot is smaller, rounder, and a brighter yellow
