Description:

Sycamore tree - different tree from previous posting. Don't know what the little red spots are; they appear to be separate from the parmelia.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Little red spots

The little pinkish-red spots on the Physcia could be a lichenicolous fungus (parasitic on lichens).

Thanks for this information. I'd never heard of lichenicolous fungi but have just looked online for some images and found some similar ones.
