Guizotia abyssinica

What a very nice find - and good to hear that keys do sometimes work! It might be worth checking to see whether this has been found before in your vice county. Although not a particularly rare alien it's worth reporting.

There are few records in VC25 but the Suffolk Flora will be out soon so will check the maps in March 2010. Stace keys are good enough but there must be better keys to just aliens.
The trouble is I have spent so many years covering every square inch of Suffolk for the flora that aliens are being targeted annually.

I have since my Niger was mentioned in the local press heard of three more Suffolk records.

Flowers very late in the year and is often blasted by the first touch of frost before the flowers appear. In my garden I have one plant seven feet tall and not a bud on it.

In a greenhouse it is truly spectacular.
