I always think it looks so lovely when it is flowering,very well set off with the road and stunning sky in picture one.
This is one of only a few areas of heathland on the Isle of Wight, a stunning location with views of the Needles, Solent and much of the West Wight- as the crow flies it's not far from Afton Down where Jimmi Hendrix played at the Rock Festival attended by 500,000 people in 1970!
