A new garden visitor - after the cheese we put out for the robins! Sorry about photos, taken through double glazing.

I've not heard of that one. Mind you, in our household, left-over cheese is not commonly encountered...
My Mum and Dad used to hand feed their robin with cheese (cheddar) every morning they had their elevenses in the garden! Like you we rarely have any cheese left over but my sons believe products self-destruct the moment the use-by date comes and wont touch it after so out it goes. This was Feta which has quite a short shelf life.

because cheese is quite salty, it is of course high-protein and high-energy stuff. I just hope the little beggars are grateful!
We have three birdbaths and a pond so plenty of water. We resort to bribery to appeal to the birds in our garden, they do not seem interested in birdfeeders and ignore the RSPB window tray so we have five bird tables and scatter food around!
