Having been caught out before

Having been caught out before with a red Russula I will wait for Alan to make a suggestion but it looks too fragile for me and I would probably say R betularum is more likely.

Could you give more details

Could you give more details of the habitat, from the location it looks like a woodland but is it beech or birch etc and do you have an idea of ph of the soil (can sometimes guess this) e.g. might it be acid sandy soil or peaty or more clayish or some indication of chalky.
