I dont know what the species is but I would be interested to know how you take these close up pictures of invertebrates - what equipment do you use? Great results!

Results

Hi Jonathan,

These pics were taken via a Nikon SMZ 800 microscope with an attached 3mp GXCAM camera. Very good pics at low magnification but increasingly difficult as you go up the scale (and less definition, of course).

Ideally, I'd like to allie a 9MP camera with the microscope, but costs don't allow!

Thanks for letting me know. The results are pretty impressive. I'd like to have a go myself. I have an old olympus stereo microscope but I'm not sure it is possible to hook it up to a camera and, as you say, upgrading the equipment is financially prohibitive!

It might be worth speaking to Brunel Microscopes if you want to take pics through the microscope. I have found them to be very helpful in the past.
