An Isle of Wight special, a sprawling hairy perennial in the Solanaceae family, photographed in it's 'oldest and longest established population in the country'(C. Pope, Flora of the Isle of Wight 2003), a garden near Ventnor, where it grows on the boundaries and sprawls over walls.It is sometimes grown as an ornamental plant,and is listed in the R.H.S. Dictionary of Gardening.Introduced from Argentina.
