Found over a five metre radius in short, limestone grassland. Short, about 4inches tall

Sedges vs grasses

The trick I was taught when I was fisrt beginning to grapple with sedges and grasses was to feel the stem. Grasses have round stems, sedges have triangular stems. "Sedges have edges" was the phrase. Not by any means infallible but a good start.
