Description:

Although they do come darker than this.
Interestingly when observed under 'incandescent bulb' torch light the green colouration was very hard to see. Under 'white light LED' it was somewhat easier.
Came to MV light.
Slightly surprised there are no other pictures of this common species on iSpot yet.
A lighter example of this species added at http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/123019

Bayhurst Wood

Bayhurst Wood was one of our regular haunts when I was first learning to identify moths, spent many happy hours running moth traps there. Nice to see the name crop up again!

Bayhurst

Andy Culshaw and I have been trapping there since last year. It is quite a well recorded site (in part your work I suspect) but I think we may have managed to add a species or two to the site list.
