Description:

Large starfish found at Gwithian. Observation reloaded to show the correct name as the likely ID thanks to input from Mike Kendall who correctly pointed out 'the well marked longitudinal rows of large spines along arms. These are never present in Asterias.'

And at full magnification you can see at each spine's base a large 'bulb' covered with just visible white dots.(see another glacialis agreed by 6 including Mike Kendall at http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/290598 ,yet still with likely id asterias rubens)
