Description:

TWO PURPLISH BROWN MOTHS ABOUT 15-20MM CAME TO LIGHT IN EARLY EVENING AND LAY FLAT TO WALL, BUT WERE HAPPY TO FOLD WINGS LIKE BUTTERFLY TOO.AFTER RELEASE LAY ON WALL FOR AT LEAST 3 HOURS.

I'm not at all sure about this one, can't see enough detail of the wing markings, but from the shape of the wings I'd go for Winter Moth (although I suppose Northern Winter Moth is also possible).
