Habitat

No you cannot tell definitively by the leaves it could be G.urbanum or it could be a hybridised type as they cross pollinate regularly with G rivale. I would like to point out that a lot of identification can be done from habitat to,as G.urbanum is a wayside, hedgerow and woodland edge plant not like G rivale which grows in slow draining to wet soils and deciduous woodland. This was nearly in the water next to a stream,I have never seen G.ubananum grow there, if it had been were G urbanum grew,I would not have been so definate with my ID.I also see it flowering every year as I walk that area every week.
