SMALL BROWN MOTH MOTTLED BROWN AND BLACK WINGS FOUND INDOORS
No interactions present.
Difficult to be certain from the angle of the photo, but I can't see the spots that are normally present for Hoffmanophila, and to me it looked like it could be Depressaria, e.g. D. pastinacella.

I have looked up both in Collins pocket guide to insects of Brittain and Western europe, and I think Kitenet could be correct. The wings are more streaked than spotted, one of my other photos is definitely streaked. This also raises another point for me,can an observer upload a second photo to an observation if it would help to resolve an i.d as here or in "spider on thisle "for example.
Yes, it is often very helpful to have additional photos from different angles. Go to the link on the right to "Add some images", and upload your photo. Then return to this observation and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the page. Scroll down the page to the section headed "Your available photos" and you should now be able to see your second photo - tick the box next to it, and click on Save, further down the page.
