This is the only British species with variegations on the legs -particularly evident on the 15th pair.
No real doubt about it with those striped legs.
This is a common species in Devon including Dartmoor although not generally seen in the middle of towns an villages where the uniformly chestnut brown Lithobius forficatus (sometimes Lithobius pilicornis) occurs.
