The colour pattern is unusual for a flounder. Was the flounder ID confirmed by the short spines along the lateral line and fin edges?
No such identification was made. The photograph of this observation was taken almost a year a go so my ID was based on my own depleted memory. Feel free to correct this as you see fit (if that's possible, I'm still somewhat unfamiliar with the site!).
