kestrel

Where is Totland? I think your kestrel is fantastic! I saw one in London in my garden recently and I wondered if there had been an increase in Kestrel numbers.

Totland

Only just found your comment. This photo was taken walking on Tennyson Down which covers some area.We walked on to the Needles viewpoint & got great views. Was looking for plants more than anything that day.Ispot came up with Totland as the area. There is also another place Headon Warren which again has great views of the Needles &good for birds .Have not noticed increase in Kestrels. My best ever view was on Blackgang Cliff where I could look across to one perching on a ledge.I had binos but not camera but sometimes seeing stays etched in the memory.Have noticed increase in Buzzards over last few years and also hear &see ravens in our area .Hope to get photo/ get lucky!
