Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
This could also be Tremella foliacea. It does not look as well defined as Auricularia normally grows.
How can I make a definitive assessment ? will a sample help
Spores! But without having to resort to a microscope Jelly Ear tends to have individual fruit bodies which are sometimes fused at the base(see the first couple of "Other observations"). T foliacea on the other hand is a contorted mass and even when it is older it does not develop the distinctive separate ear shapes. Look again if possible and see how it develops.
