Description:

Although the 'gully' was very wet and muddy the sun was shining and it was fairly warm

Without pictures it's hard to say! 7-spots overwinter in leaf litter, so can be found there throughout the winter. They have 3 spots on each elytron, plus a scutellar spot in the middle

Thought it was unusal to find them but I see a few others listed :)
