Description:

This unknown foliose lichen was found in a shaded area near a hedge in a suburban setting in London. Would be grateful if anyone could identify it, if possible from these pictures

This is one of the most

This is one of the most frequently posted lichens on iSpot so you should be able to identify it by looking at previous posts.
Clicking on 'Observations' in the Browse box to the right of the screen and then highlighting 'Fungi and Lichen' shows thumbnails images of observations in this section.

Suggestion to admin - would it be possible to put Fungi and Lichens into two separate categories?
That would make it much easier for users to compare their photo's with ones already posted and arrive at a possible identification for lichen species already posted.

There are at leat two foliose species, green and grey, plus darker crustose species.

Sorry both your photo and especially my knowledge are not up to giving you an identificaton.
