I wouldn't really be able to say for certain from the head alone whether this is a weasel or a small stoat. Did you see its tail? Did it have a black tip? If not, it is a weasel.

this is a weasel as there was no black tip on the tail. It was pointed out to me by the tram workers in the area it was spotted. They believed it to be at least semi-tame as it regularly took food from them.
There are also two short brown points coming down from the eye into the white throat and possibly at least one brown spot/smudge on the throat - these are never present on stoat.
