tricky

These Anthocoris bugs are not easy to sort out, but the length of the antennae, the glossy wings and the shape of the grey 'spot' at the wing-tip all seem consistent with A. nemorum.

Thanks

Thanks Martin, are you aware of any accessible keys to this group of invertebrates?

key

There's a key to the Anthocoridae of western Europe downloadable from the hetnews website:
http://www.hetnews.org.uk/downloads.php

(look for the line that starts "Key to Anthocoris from Heteropterists' Newsletter 1st series")

It includes some non-British species, but seems to work okay, although I still find that in some cases I need to take specimens to a museum to confirm them.
