Interesting subsp of Cuckoo Pint found in the Isle of Wight. Quite common in the Undercliff area.

Why is this ssp. neglectum rather than ssp. italicum? From what Stace says, it seems to be showing aspects of both (clear, very pale veins like italicum, but convergent basal lobes like neglectum).
Just interested. Ive only seen the species abroad, not in this country.

The lobes look divergent to me which with the creamy veins makes it ssp italicum.
Yes, I did think ssp. italicum was most likely, but I was unfamiliar with ssp. neglectum. Don't know why I thought the lobes were convergent, they, in fact, are mostly, slightly, divergent!
