Description:

Fungi growing on 2 inch diameter hibiscus branch which has been cut for 18 months.The branch is amongst other logs mostly oak.The brackets have formed on the top of the branch but the underside of the branch is covered with a sheet of fungus. This sheet of fungus only shows the surface which is normally the underside of the brackets.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
