Description:

I found this little bat sleeping on a tree trunk about mid-day at about elbow height from the ground. There is probably not enough information in the photo for a more precise ID - I know nothing about bats.

Myotis - but which?

It's a myotis bat - pale underside, medium size.In Northern Ireland that means Natterer's bat, Daubenton's bat or Whiskered bat.
I'm inclined to say Natterer's due to the shape of the ears and the forest location.
