Description:

an introduced ornamental species that often becomes naturalised by the coast. I noticed it in the hedgerow because of the enormous rosehips.

I agree with the id. It's often sold as a hedging plant because of its salt and wind tolerance

I didn't know what it was until I checked it out - some of the rosehips were the size of cherry tomatos!
