Grey Heron

I am waiting for some 'bird books' to arrive, The one I am using at the moment has a pic of a Grey Heron, but it has a lot more white plumage, but it does say that the young are greyer. Maybe an expert could cast their eye and give a definate identification. I would like to be able to distinguish between a juvenile and an adult.

Signs of juvenile

Usually grey cap and back of neck (white in adult). Irregular black markings also suggest a new bird.
