Description:

Cluster of Fungi. As a beginning Naturalist, I have noticed 3 mistakes I have made :
1. Take picture of underside of fungi
2. Use some form of measurement comparison (coin)
3. Take note of type of tree where the fungi grows.
Anything else I missed ?
I discovered these on a dead tree trunk near River North Esk, in dense broadleaved forest.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Lovely photo!

Just catching the light, I do like these fungi.
Try to include the stem when taking a photo of the underside. With some species tricky to ID you will need more information but your list is fine for most fungi.
