The national recording scheme for leafhoppers and related bugs has been relaunched:
This scheme is bring run by Alan Stewart and Tristan Bantock, and welcomes records of this group of insects. Some leafhoppers are tricky to identify, but there are some very distinctive species to look for as well.
The new scheme website includes lots of information, and the first issue of a downloadable newsletter called "Ledra" - this being both the genus name for a particularly large and distinctive hopper (Ledra aurita) and an abbreviation for "LEafhopper Distribution Recording and Analysis"!
Don't forget that there are excellent photos of many hopper bugs on the British Bugs website:
