3cm x 3cm off white / yellow ish rounded bivalve. Lots of fine concentric ridges. Discovered on sandy beach on east coast of Anglesey.

Its usually easiest to separate Dosinia from other large roundish bivalves such as Lucinoma by viewing the shell with the umbones pointing towards you. Along the hinge line is a heart-shaped shallow pit, the lunule which is characteristic.
