Fungi and Lichens expert

The reason for uploading this observation was that the whole branch was completely covered in a thick growth of lichens and this was in the chilterns not that far from london.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

The predominant lichen is

The predominant lichen is Ramalina farinacea, but there's also Physcia tenella (very small) and what looks like a Punctelia (lobes far right).
