This is certainly not a Woodcock feather, as the pattern is wrong. It does look better for Buzzard, but an indication of size would be useful...it looks quite large.

On reflection I agree this is not a Woodcock feather,most especially as it is too big.But I don't agree that it is the wrong pattern for a Woodcock under wing feather which I think is really quite similar, but rather smaller.
An underwing feather, which would not therefore be a primary, secondary or tertiary feather,would be much, much smaller..no comparison at all.
This looks more like a large tail feather, with equal width on the inner and outer webs.
Accurate size would still be useful, to make a proper decision, I think.
