It may well be this but I think there are a couple of species looking rather like this. Do you know what type of wood it was on e.g. conifer or not?

Calocera cornea

I am fairly sure it was a branch from a felled Beech tree. There aren't any conifers in the area. (It was taken in Dunham Park)
